With my condo facing forclosure Authority Lending in chino ca, assured me that with 1200 dollars they would negotiate with Wells Fargo and stop the forclosure along with lowering my monthly mortgage. A Mr. Steven Rivera, who claims to be a loan officer came to my home to collect the check in corona.

The very next day Wells Fargo notified me a Mr. Jones, who says he is the owner of the company, was at the bank attempting to cash the check which I ok'd for the services to be rendered. A week or so passes with no returned calls from Mr. Jones at which point I call Wells Fargo to see if they had been in contact with Authority Lending. To this day Wells Fargo has assured me that all Authority Lending did was call and check the status of my situation.

There was no negotiating, no requesting of information, no attempts at stopping this forclosure. I am a 61 year old widow retired on a fixed income and explained to them that if this was somthing above their means I hadn't the time or the money to be wasted, yet they recklessly cashed my check without any of the promised services rendered.

Mr. Derick Jones upon me calling was very combative and down right irate when I had explained to him what Wells Fargo had told me about Authority Lending and their non existant claims of assistance. In times such as these I am saddened and on the verge of being homeless due to these predators. I worked for the county of Orange for over thirty years helping people so I hope that my story will help some of you out there going through a similar situation.

Are you sure you are responding to the correct report?  The person ended their report with the name Taylor, but your rebuttal two completely different names.

Also, there were a lot of misspelled words in your rebuttal.  Spell-check would have made your message look more professional.

WHY DO PEOPLE LIE ......BECAUSE THEY CAN

#6REBUTTAL Owner of company

Sat, December 13, 2008

The first thing I wish to state is that Authority Lending has an oustanding reputation. And if you review the BBB you will notice the only complaint filed against my company is this individual. I pride myself, as the owner, on being fair. I don't want something for nothing and I am not looking for a quick buck. I have been in a similar situation as people I help and I sympathize with their situations. I have been in business long enough to know that my reputation is everything. Otherwise I would not take the time to respond. But what really disgust me the most, is how some one is trying to tarnish our reputation and use the age as a tatic. I am a father of three and happily married, and I value my lively hood as much as the complaintent values hers. I don't seek empathy. I just wish to be treated fair and to treat others as such.

Now I would like to tell the story of what has transpired.

In reference to Ms. Cordia, we at Authority Lending have been more than accommodating for Ms. J. We were able to provide her with a payment reduction along with a rate reduction, along with deferring Ms. J payments. As per our discussion Ms. J is unable to afford her Mortgage and would like to hold us accountable for her payments. We talked to her lender on numerous occasions. This is well documented on our files. I myself even attempted to conference Ms. J on the conversation I was having with her lender. I even for warned her that I would be contacting the lender and would be doing a conference call within 5 minutes. I asked her to please remain by the phone. I did get the lender on the line and attempted to call Ms. J. She would not pick up. I then called her, after numerous attempts later in the day. Her reason for not picking up the line was that she had some other things to handle and she had to worry about my call later. I consider the house a high priorty. So why not just the consideration to call me back and let me know that you were pre occupied?

It is our deepest regret that Ms. J cannot afford her payments. We were able to get her a payment reduction of $648.00 per month. This is from the original payment required by the lender of $3182.07. Her new payment that we were able to negotiate is now $2,534.00.

Ms. J' biggest concern, as she had expressed in our last conversation, was that her payment was increasing. The payments had adjusted from her original payment of approximately $1890.00 to $2,800. Per Ms. J, she was advised by her lender to skip a payment in order to qualify for a Modification. This was her reason for falling behind in payment. The lender required all that was to be paid brought current. This would have required her to pay an initial payment of $5,000. Ms. J has this in her records, because she faxed me a copy of the document.

Authority lending was able to get the initial payment of $5,000 waived and a reduced payment as mention before and also a fixed payment. Not to mention, allotted more time in which to provide the initial payment. Once again it is our deepest regret that she cannot afford the payment. However we advised Ms. J that the lender will allow us to complete the modification if she would pay the next three months of payments on each month following of $2,534.

It is truly disheartning to see such an evil lie and to use peoples emotions to try and persued rational and truth. May you have better use of this talent on others. But, once again, I believe I am here to help people and even you wont stop me with your nasty lies..........
