Auto Acceptance ripoff Did not report to the credit agencies It's been three months now, and there is still no record of my paying on a car loan to auto acceptance. Portland Oregon
Ron Tonkin will promise to fix your credit with their auto acceptance progam. This is a scam.
After paying for over 2 years, on time, never late to auto acceptance, my tuck was totaled by the insurance co. My insurance paid off the balance owed to auto acceptance, and I went on my way to purchase another vehicle at, what I had hoped would be, a much lower interest rate.
I went to Ron Tonkin, and told them the situation. They insantly ran my credit report, to find that there was no record of my ever paying on a car loan. They asked me to come up with another $1000 down, and then wanted to put me into a vehicle that was inferior to the one I previously purched from them.
I went into auto acceptance, and told them the situation. They said they had forgotten to mail the disk, but as far as they were concerned, I had excellent credit.(what they "think" does you no good in the real world.)
It's been three months now, and there is still no record of my paying on a car loan to auto acceptance.
Consumers... Be VERY aware.
