UPS delivered an overnight envelope. Inside was a check for $4850. No explanation or paperwork, just a normal looking check all by itself. The check was from an account at the First National Bank Omaha. The check was unexpected so it send red flags up! I did a google search and found nothing under the address on the UPS envelope, the on the check found a Nebraska AAA company.

I called my AAA agent after finding Patricia from Cleveland, TN message on this site and told them about this. She is reporting it to AAA. I then called my local police and reported it. I also call the bank and they knew about it and reffered me another phone number to call and report it. I will give you that number if you need it! Also, I have my local news station aware of it I am so mad that this scam!

The banker I spoke said do not cash it and call a number which she gave me. The number was to a claims adjuster for AAA and he said right this very second write VOID on the front and back and email him aor fax him a copy of the check and UPS envelope. He asked for the check number and said it was the number of a check issued July 9,2008 for a lot less than $4850. If you deposit the check you are out of the $4850 AND the scam artist has your bank information. You will also be out the bounce check fees! Patricia said in her message :"I hope this keeps at least one person from losing $5000.00" - I DID PATRICIA! Thank you!! If it's to good to be true, it probably is! People are sick!
