Bought 2006 Nissan Altima from Chicagoautotrader through ebay. Car was wrecked even when gauranteed no repairs were ever made to the car. Does business from MPV Sales & Leasing in Joliet. MPV is a repair shop, there is no used car inventory.

Damage was repaired on the front and back. Included cheap parts and bad paint that is chipping off.

Dealt with Chris Scubert, guy would not let me pick up vehicle at MPV offices. Had me go to his house in Mokena so that I did not see that this was coming from a repair shop.

When questioned about repairs guy lied straight to my face. Right in front of his 4-year old daughter and wife. Don't trust him.

Watch for 'Payment within 3 days' condition. He uses it against you to be a good ebay person. Don't get caught up in it.

First lie he told me was on the phone when we working out delivery. He kept harping on how carfax has all the information about any wrecked vehicle. That's just not true, they only have what participating insurance companies report. I should have backed out right then.

Also did ebay business as Bargainsonsale and Unlimiteddealsonline. Check out their feedback on ebay!!!

Brian,

Don't worry about providing a last name in your report - it is an alias used by the seller.

To learn more about MPV Sales & Leasing, visit the Cook County Clerk of the Circuit Court web site. Go to "Online Case Info" and then "Full Electronic Docket Search." In the Chancery division you may search "MPV" as the defendant. The case number is 2001-CH-00117, People of Illinois vs. MPV Auto, etc. If you believe that you have relevant information to add to the case, were given an alias, etc., you may contact the Illinois Attorney General Consumer Protection Division- which is easily accessible online.

Collision Repair Report

#3Author of original report

Mon, June 19, 2006

Chris contacted me after I posted negative to ebay and here. He claims the car was not repaired by his organization and that it was sold to him in this condition from a Nissan Dealer. He requested that I take the car to a body shop to assess what repairs were made and the quality of the repairs so that he could take that to the Nissan Dealer.

Appology:
I would like to appologize for incluing a last name in the report. Pleae diregard it. I believe it is spelled incorrectly anyway.

Correction:
Based on the inspection there is a correction to my post: Genuine Nissan Parts were used for the hood, trunk, front bumper and rear bumper. Although the rear bumper skin is an incorrect part for the car. It is designed for dual exhaust, my car is a single exhuast with two outlets coming out of the muffler. One big cutout vs. two little ones on opposite sides of the car for actual duals.

Inspection:
Inspection confirmed damage to the front and rear of car and identified many quality issues including frame damage on the back of the car. Several parts omitted in the repair. There were also several deficiencies in the paint job on the car.

Settlement offer:
Chris has offered a $500 refund from the dealer that would be processed through MPV. He has offered to fax a copy of the check from the Nissan dealer and then send me an MPV check after ebay feedback and badbusinessbureau report have been removed. I requested that Chris send the check before any reviews or feedback are changed.
