I purchased a vehicle at Auto Gallery Imports/Elegant Motors in June 2013 and because it was a luxury car, I definitely wanted an extended warranty since the factory warranty had expired. They sold me a warranty with 'GWC Warranty Company' and I was told that within 30 days I would receive a warranty card from GWC as was customary (this wasn't my first used vehicle/warranty purchase so I know how the process works). 30 days pass, nothing comes in the mail... at 35 days I call Auto Gallery Imports (A.G.I.) and ask to speak to 'Sam' - the finance manager who closed the deal.

I immediately know there's going to be trouble when he's not available and never calls back when I'm asked to leave my number. Weeks pass by with  me calling either daily or every other day and I've yet to speak to Sam or anyone who can help me. on the 45th day I finally speak to Sam who gives me a line about how they already sent the papers in... yeah right.  GWC has no record of my name or car's VIN AND they say they never received anything that may be in processing. So at this point, this pink copy of a warranty contract that they gave me is worth less than the paper it's written on.

Two months of constant calling and being outright lied to and practically hung up on and I finally get someone there to fax their copy of the contract to GWC to get the ball rolling. I call GWC a day later to check and apparently A.G.I. only faxed the top portion of the contract and nothing else... and apparently GWC never received the funds for this warranty at all!! At this point my car is in the shop for some work and the service writer is waiting for approval from GWC to start the work, but they CANT because A.G.I. never did ANYTHING with the warranty I bought.  THEY TOOK MY THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS AND GAVE ME A USELESS PIECE OF PAPER. GWC SAYS THAT EVEN IF A.G.I. SENT THEM THEIR PAYMENT AND PROPER PAPERWORK, THE CONTRACT MAY BE DENIED B/C IT TOOK SO LONG AND THE CAR WAS PURCHASED 2.5 MONTHS AGO!!

Buyer beware with these people. THEY ARE CROOKS. A.G.I engages in very shady business practices. GOOGLE THEM! Sam is a liar and a thief and won't return calls AT ALL. Aside from what they did with my Warranty, it took them 2 months to send me my vehicle registration that I paid for when I purchased the car. I began receiving tickets due to expired temporary registration. They claimed to have sent it as soon as a few days after I purchased the car?? BULLSH*T!  I finally received the registration in an envelope postmarked 15 DAYS AFTER THE TEMP REG EXPIRED... THATS 2 MONTHS AFTER PURCHASE DATE. They told me on the phone repeatedly that they sent it a few days after I purchased but the postmark on their OWN ENVELOPE reveals their BS.

Auto Gallery Imports or Elegant motors or whatever they're calling themselves are a bunch of scammers and will be hearing from my lawyers in coming days if this isn't resolved. Buyer beware. Google them if you don't believe me - I certainly wish I had.

SITUATION MADE RIGHT

After taking a trip back to the dealer, Sam and his team did in fact work to get the situation resolved. They got the situation escalated to the VP of the warranty company who ended up trying to dodge the claim but they eventually got the warranty validated, and my car is being worked on. I do wish I didn't have to lose a day's pay to get this resolved (phone communication, people?) but I am happy it finally is.

I retract my statement calling them scammers and thieves - although I will concede they could go a long way in the way of customer-communication & feedback. Sam ended up doing the right thing in the end.
