Ryan the "credit manager" is an imbecile. I have also called on numerous occasions inquiring as to why I have not received my refund, which they have acknowledged they owe me, but continue to receive the same response. I am told that the processing department is still working on my refund. Ryan first promised my refund on 11/15, then on 11/28, then on 12/5, then on 12/12, then on 12/18.

I get the same bs about Ryan being the only one who can help me. I asked Ryan if I could speak with his superior, he aid he did not have one. I asked to speak with the President or CEO, he said there was none but an absentee owner. I asked to speak with the peocessing department and he said they do not take calls from clients. I asked for the contact information to the warranty company and he said they only dealt with Auto One. His last words were that I just had to wait.

Well I was not about to just sit around and wait. I filed an online complaint with the Los Angeles Better Business Bureau, their website is http://www.la.bbb.org. I just received a response from the LA BBB indicating that Auto One had responded to my complaint. There response was that I should see the credit to my account on or before 1/9/09. Won't believe it until I actually see it. Will keep everyone posted.

I also filed a complaint with the CA Attroney General Office, the FCC and the FTC. I figured if this company gets enough attention, someone will eventually do something to stop them. I like one of the reporter's ideas about filing a class action law suit. If you are having a similar problem, file a complaint with the LA BBB and request a full refund plus interest at 10% per annum. A warranty is considered an insurance policy and it is against the law to retain any unearned premium. The CDI code states that if the insurer fails to return the premium within 25 business days or 80 business days for policies requiring an audit, interest must be paid at 10% per annum. I requested my full refund of $295 plus $29.50 for interest and in Auto One's response to the LA BBB this is what they will be refunding.

Hope this has been helpful. File complaints with your local Attorney General, the FCC and the FTC, BBB, your local news media and everyone who will listen.
