Auto Town Rip-off, rude, threatening, dishonest Milwaukie Oregon
Here is my rip-off report
I went to Auto TOwn today, 2/18/2005 and looked at the vehicles they had. They guaranteed approval and I decided to go along and see what they could approve me for. I told them that I was not interested in trading in my current vehicle but they insisted to have a look at it so I let them.
They were very pushy and agrumentative. After a while I saw where that was going and I asked for the return of my keys so I could leave. They said "sure" and 15 minutes later I still had no keys. Instead they came back out and said that they had found a truck I may like. I looked at it and it was ok but not really affordable. They asked me to come fill out the loan paperwork to see what I may be approved for. They came back a long time later and said I was approved for the truck but that I would need to sign the affidavit for my car stating that it was mine and in the condition as they saw it. I signed the affidavit or at least I thought that is what I was signing - turned out to be a loan contract and 29% OUCH.
After I realized what I had signed I told them I didn't want it, they told me too bad since I signed the paperwork. My car was gone. I was stuck with a truck @ $250 per month with 29% interest and I don't even know when I agreed to those terms. And of course, the AC don't work and it has other issues not disclosed to me when I looked at it. BEWARE OF AUTO TOWN.
I am totally angry at this and there isn't a thing I can do other than hope that you don't fall for them. Beware!
