See my email text below of what I actually sent, it describes my problem with the Auto Trader group of companies. Please excuse the typos, I have fat fingers, small keys and cant type anyway, on top of being really mad!

To all concerned or even those who pretend to be,
I wanted to take advantage of the online pricing and extra features, but that cannot be done satisfactorily even after 2 calls to your customer service.

A properly working site would involve 0 calls to customer service. Why offer online ad placement if your site is so poor a customer has to call customer service, or do you want them to just tear the ad form ot of a magazine, pay about $40 more for the ad, and have less features? What kind of business is that?

Sounds and smells like a scam to me just like the pay at the pump gas stations that always tell you after you are done pumping that your reciept is inside. Same type of scam or level of incompetence.

Here are my SPECIFIC issues. I have a 1999 Chevy C3500 LS Dually. That is the exact and proper description, NOT silverado and other c/k 3500. What is that? My truck is NOT a Silverado and it is NOT a k. This generic group classification combines about 6 different variations and takes away available characters from my description as your canned description is all wrong and has to be reworded!

Then, your sysyem tells me my Vin is not for a 1999 truck. Well, thats the same as the info on my registration, title and insurance card! So whats up with your system?

You need a competent webmaster that actually knows something about vehicles, or knows how to consult someone who does.

Who needs this kind of time consuming aggravation when spending this kind of money. I guess I'll forget the pictures and advertise all of my vehicles in the Bradenton Herald.

I cant wait for more excuses. Since I am totally pissed off now, and have wasted 2 hours of my valuable time with your site that doesn't work, I'll go vent at ripoffreport.com and make sure no one else falls into your scam.

I think if you are sincerley concerned about your business and the value of my time, a proper adjustment would have been made and I would have been accomodated as a valued customer. But it is obvious to me that you are just another big faceless company with the standard take it or leave it attitude. Well, the Bradenton Herald can take my business since you decided you don't want it.

My advice: Hire a competent webmaster and/or someone in charge who speaks and understands english and is knowledgeable about vehicles.
