Engine noise in truck. Purchased product for $90 which had a money back guarantee if not satisfied. Product not only did not work but after taking truck to service dept of auto dealer, had to replace timing chains. After replaced, new noise appeared from right side lifters. Each time something was repaired or replaced, new problems appeared. Mechanic thinks it was the additives which caused all these additional products. Company refuses to refund $90. This product cost me $90 plus the cost of 4 oil changes and replacement of the truck engine for $3500. Original truck engine that was replaced had 92,000 on it. Had to be replaced with a used engine with 122,000 miles on it.

I did receive a refund after multiple phone calls & emails arguing about it. The original noise in my truck was caused by the timing chains. There were no other problems & it operated fine until the addition of the product. The promises made by the advertising are unrealistic in my opinion. My primary complaint was that there is 100% guarantee, money refunded if you're not completely satisifed. We had to fight for several weeks to get the seller to refund the money.

San Marcos,
Texas,

Sorry about your car problem. Here's what I think about it.

I'm sorry you're having car trouble and you feel it’s my fault, or our products fault.  Since 2007 no one has made that assertion. As requested…

Your purchase price and shipping fees were refunded when you produced repair invoices indicating the problem fixed by repair, to fulfill our stated warranty requirements.

About your claims against me, and Mega Power.

I believe other issues are at fault and its wrong to say Mega Power caused them as you state you had car engine trouble before the use of the products and advice you purchased, for a remedy.  Consider….

It seems like everyone wants a cheap way to fix an expensive car repair problem.

Few of us what to pay $500 to $1000 for an exploratory look-see to gain an exact estimate of problems inside and engine. Then pay for the repair, also.

When other choices are followed by the car owner, such as a second opinion, it helps. But, it is still costly to tear apart an engine. Once torn apart, chances are, one half of all worn parts are ask to be replaced to provide the mechanic some sort of assurance their failure won't be charged to his neglect, if failure should occur soon after.   That makes the estimate higher. Its natural to want to do the fix cheaper. How about way cheaper? Great!

About: Lo-cost Additives.

It's true, part store and quick lubes sell products known to be harmful. Unknowningly, people still try them for relief, and often, they do cause more engine problems - of which most mechanics see first-hand.

It's likely, your mechanic, who stated Mega Power was at fault for your engines problems, thinks because Mega Power fits the additive category - since it’s an additive, and since he sees what harm-causing additives do – That’s his experience. In part he is right and wrong, in this way.

For him to say Mega Power caused your engine's problem by just its first usage a week or so prior to his check and observation, and without physical knowledge of the ingredients of Mega Power, and without some proof of any negativity, or physical knowledge; I’d say, that is a remarkable expertise!

Even fortune tellers do not have such power to determine an unseen and unknown objects features and characteristics - as he seems to have. Of course his words may not have been those stated by you. If so, forgive me for stating such about him. My intention is not meant to be harmful as he may be of the finest of mechanics. My apology to him!

Google…

Google has listed my web site since 2007 as an honest web site by use of it by tens of thousands, it making no wild claims other than the hundreds of semi-technical assertions stated of my personal field automotive experience and knowledge gained from that of many mechanics and car and equipment owners I’m in contact with.

I'm sorry you experience was beyond the advantages offered. No Mega Power product has proven to cause harm. So, let it be known: A refund was returned to you…

Your purchase price and shipping fees were refunded when you produced repair invoices indicating the problem fixed by repair, to fulfill our stated warranty requirements.

About your sick car problem: Please note. Sick people go to a doctor. Should a patient get sicker, even die after treatment; few doctors ever are accused of causing the demise. You state, "your engine had a noise problem" before the purchase of our products.

When a car engine develops a problem, its near impossible to recommend a fix unless the problem is obvious, and perhaps, been repaired one or more times before. Most mechanics do an exploratory search to find the problem. I'm a mechanic and that's the routine.

However, Mega Power additives do “fix” engines with problems so stated. Your problem may have been different.  It may be an engine part was to fail regardless. Our web site certainly states our products do not fix parts in a failed condition.

Problems associated with friction, sticky residues, and sticking and binding - and even wear are all likely causes of running or performance problems Mega Power ends, to restore the engine back to its pre-problem state, before the failure state is reached. Testimonials say so!

By the thousands, car and heavy equipment owners and mechanics have corrected friction, sticky residues, and sticking and binding - an even wear problems; all are running, or performance problems brought to an end by the use of Mega Power with few complaints.

Yours was one of 2 refunds last year. About that, we fulfilled our obligation. No proof of cause by you or a mechanic showed proof of the claims my advice or product recommendations you made, caused the problem. Were there, Mega Power has adequate means to cover them – beyond the refund warranty.

As stated, your refund was sent to you.  No offense, insult, or injury is intended by me other than to defend myself and business against what I feel, are unfounded claims.

Yours truly, with my apology. george christ  auto-tune-up-and-repair-options.com
