AutoBarn.com - Auto Barn - AutoBarn AutoBarn used Bait-and-Switch to rip me off Port Washington New York
AutoBarn.com has a selector to enter your vehicle information into to sort through the various parts, (in this case I was looking for McGuard chrome wheel locks), specific to your vehicle. I entered my vehicle, and was given one choice to select from, and was shown a picture of McGuard chrome wheel locks.
The picture had under it the disclaimer, *Image shown may vary from actual product, which would make sense because one would expect that there are various diameters and depths of lug nuts according to the size of the lugs on various vehicles. What I received was case hardened, "under the cap" wheel locks that look nothing at all like the picture.
It was like being shown the picture of a Chevrolet Corvette with a reasonable price on it, purchasing it, and receiving a Chevrolet Impala. Yeah, they're both cars, but the similarity ends there.
When I complained to AutoBarn.com I received a reply from Gary Smith stating that I got exactly what I ordered. I then spelled out how their tactics were wrong and got no reply at all within several days.
Obviously, AutoBarn.com intentionally uses these tactics. BEWARE!!!
