ON 9/11/2009 I TRADED IN MY 2002 AUDI QUATTRO 4D/A6 2.7 FOR A 2009 VW TIGUAN  SE. THEY ONLY GAVE 8,000 FOR MY AUDI BECAUSE THEY ALLEGED IT WAS IN AN ACCIDENT AND IT WASN'T WORTH MORE THAN THAT. THE VW TIGUAN WAS MARKED 20,997. WHEN THEY MADE ME SIGN THE PAPERWORK THEY SOLD IT TO ME FOR 21,997. THEY RIPPED ME OFF ON THE PRICE, PLUS THE RIPPED ME OFF WITH ANOTHER 1,910 FOR THE COVERAGE. I STATED CLEARLY I DID NOT WANT TO ADD THE COVERAGE AND THEY ADDED IT ANYWAYS. THE SALESMAN NAME IS FARBER MARTIN, AWARE!!! AND THE FINANCIAL GUY'S NAME IS JOHN LIM AWARE!!! (PAIR OF THIEVES)

I DID NOT NOTICED UNTIL I GOT HOME. I REALIZED THE REFINANCED AMOUNT WAS TOO HIGH. I READ THE PAPERS AND I FOUND OUT I HAD BEEN RIPPED OFF.

I HAD BOUGHT ANOTHER CAR VW PASSAT FOR MY SON IN THE SAME DEALERSHIP FOUR MONTHS AGO, THIS TIME MY SALESMAN WAS SHAWN. WHEN I CALLED IN TO COMPLAIN ABOUT WHAT THEY DID TO ME, I MENTIONED I WISHED I HAD DONE THE DEAL WITH SHAWN AND JOHN LIM RESPONDED " YOU'RE LUCKY SHAWN WAS NOT YOUR SALESMAN, OTHERWISE YOU HAD BEEN RIPPED OFF WORST" THAT COMMENT MADE ME REALIZE THE WAY THEY DO BUSINESS SO BE AWARE, NEVER BUY A CAR FROM THEM BECAUSE THEY WILL STEAL THE LAST PENNY FROM YOU.

I AM DEEPLY DISSAPOINTED BECAUSE JOHN LIM TOLD ME HE WON'T DO ANYTHING FOR ME. PRETTY MUCH HE TOLD ME I'D BEEN ANOTHER VICTIM ON THEIR RIP-OFF CAREER.

BE AWARE OF THE  BUNCH OF THIEVES AT THE VW AUTOBARN LIMITED IN EVANSTON ILLINOIS!!!!

DON'T BUY FROM THEM!! DON'T BE ANOTHER VICTIM!!

The first thing you must do is 'Google' this- RIP OFF REPORT TOYOTA VOIDED WARRANTY DUE TO ENGINE OIL SLUDGE, and read Jerry's Rip Off Report. Then go to Jerry's Update to his Rip Off Report and read it. He put VINLY LEMONS on his defective 2007 Toyota Camry Hybrid and parked it outside the dealership (off of their property) and passed out fliers informing the public of what happened.

Guess what? He finally got satisfaction, and this was AFTER he tried to have the dealership & Toyota corporation help him, which they did NOT do!

So, YOU can do something similar to what Jerry did, right? You could make a simple picket-sign that says you were RIPPED-OFF by the dealership, & hand out simple fliers, or even print copies of your Rip Off Report & hand them out instead, correct?

TRUST ME, not too many people would want to take a chance of getting RIPPED-OFF by this dealer like you were and they'd probably go elsewhere, causing a drop in customers to the dealership which would effect their sales & profits, right? DO IT! It's perfectly legal, and if someone at the dealership threatens you in any way you can catch it on camera, right? Then you could SUE them! I'd alert all your LOCAL News stations in your city BEFORE you stand out there with a picket sign. They might catch someone from the dealership threatening you or even trying to harm you, right? That WOULD be good evidence in court, wouldn't you agree?

DO IT!

Good luck & keep us posted.

You said the figures were higher on the contract they "MADE" you sign. How did they "make" you sign?????

If the price was higher than what you wanted to pay, WHY DID YOU SIGN?  Ah, but there's more...you said they added things to the contract and you "discovered" this AFTER you got home and read the contract!  Please help me...maybe there's something I'm missing!  I would think one should read what they are signing BEFORE they agree to it.

Did they try some trickery to "pad" the deal?  Probably.  However, YOU had all the power.  As a smart consumer YOU should have taken time to READ what you were about to sign...READ BEFORE YOU SIGN...rather than signing and reading afterward!  Incredible!
