There were problems from day one. AutoMart made several verbal agreements to repair items on the vehicle that they never completed even after repeated requests and reminders of the agreements that had been made;

1)the clutch was going out-they promised to replace,

2)the driver door and both backseat dors would not open from the inside of the truck in the front you would have to climb over the gearshift to exit and in the back someone would have to open the doors from the outside to let you out,

3)the breaks were also almost completly gone, and last but most important,

4)a break fluid leak that shortly after purchasing the truck the leak became so bad it would completely lock the gears up every couple of days.

all of these items were verbally promised to be repaired BEFORE any purchase agreement was ever signed, and i have never even recieved a copy of my purchase agreement til this day also after repeated requests to the manager that was there when i bought the truck and to the current manager.

throughout the time i had the truck in my possesion, both managers agreed to SEVERAL late payments which by law because of that fact my contract should have been amended and wasn't.

The current manager and myself argued over the payoff amount his records showed a payoff amount of $1040.00 my records indicate i only had $644.00 as a payoff and i would have owned the truck. The manager even agreed to go thru his payment book with me and i bring in all my reciepts, about a week before he was suppose to do this with me i called to confirm the appt and he said i am not going thru any books with you, you should keep better records, and it is "people like you" that dealers can't stand, "you people" need to get it together, and i have paying customers to talk to so i don't have time to talk to you!

the day before i was going to the office to pay the balance and obtain the title, AutoMart employed a company to repo the truck, not only did AutoMart/Murphy Recovery break the law by "breaching the peace" meaning they entered a private property secure\ity building where my garage is attached to the building and also a security area they did not inform me the vehicle was back on their lot for sale again, and since then has been sold.

Later on i found out thru a mechanic that did some minor repair on the truck, this was by the way an Isuzu Rodeo, and there was a Ford engine in the truck, autoMart tried to say they knew nothing about that, the muffler was welded on so badly the truck sounded like a souped up hot rod-TERRIBLE and that same mechanic wanted to charge me $100 just to remove and replace it which would not have included the cost of a new muffler.

Basically, this was a "pieced-together" truck sitting on this lot that has a commercial on tv that claims;.."when you drive off the lot you'll want to kiss yourself"... NO, you'll want to kick yourself once you find out that AutoMart has taken you for an ugly ride that you can't get off for about 18 months and expect a large number of bumps and bruises along the way!!!

AutoMart employs dishonest people

I feel was was mislead by the sales people at AutoMart and with the fact that i only should have had $644.00 to pay off this ragedy truck, i was overcharged in the first place by over $1600 over the Kelley Blue Book value of the vehicle, i feel that AutoMart should not only refund my my entire price of this truck which totaled $5313.75 including tax and title tranfer and the blu book value was only $3655.00 before tax and title, i don't feel it is fair that not only did they get all but the $644.00 and the truck would have been paid off, but now AutoMart has gotten over again because the truck was resold more than likely at the same price as it was on the lot when i bought it so the will make an enormous profit on this 1991 ragedy truck that was not worth the price the 1st "buy" round.

AutoMart should NOT be able to profit a second time on this vehicle, i want my money back!! I, to date, have spent more money because i had to get some kind of vehicle just to get back and fourth to work, and that was another $1000 on a used car which i should not have had to spend, if nothing else i at least deserve the difference between the true book value and what i was charged for the vehicle and the additional $1000 i had to spend to purchase a new vehicle!!
