They lead you to believe that you're hired and that the dealership is willing to pay for their expert training. I was not the only one who'd been led to believe this. The other "candidates" all thought that they were hired as well. I was never told i was a "candidate" and that I may not get hired during the initial interview. That part only came after the first day of "training" and I use that phrase loosely.

if it's not a scam it's definitely misleading and deceitful to lead people to believe they're hired. then get them to attend their expert "training" so that they can be sold their placement service. As far as the quality of some of the other candidates i wouldnt have hired them to sell shoes let alone cars. they were brought in solely for a chance to sell them Automax placement service.

If Automax were upfront they'd know this is how this particular contractor operates. They'd tell people you are just a candidate and not lead people to believe theyre hired. Misleading and deceitful is what you would phrase as "Social Psychology" I imagine.
