Stay Away from them. Automite advertises that it sells performance and specialty car parts. My son ordered 4 wheels and paid them $1,375.00 by card over the internet. They advised the shipment would be delayed too long for our purposes, so we cancelled the order, asking them not to process the payment. They did anyway. After multiple requests, they refunded $500.00 to the account. Email after email, they promised to refund the $875.00 balance, several times saying that they had done so, blaming the "merchant bank", the "card processor", and so on. They stopped answering emails in Dec., 2004.

Six months later, still no refund. Emails to them are now returned as "mailbox full". They have no telephone listing, and the number on their site is only for a fax, which no longer connects. Their "street address", as it turns out, is only a rented mailbox. They are not listed in the State or County records as a corporate or other type business, as would be required.

A demand letter sent in Feb., 2005 by Certified Mail RRR did go through, and was signed for and accepted by them. If anyone has paid them by mail, and got ripped off, please file a report - maybe we can get them for U.S. mail fraud. They obviously have been running a fraudulent scam - collecting money, with no intent to deliver any goods.

Dispute the charge man. You are not REQUIRED to pay for unfulfilled charges. They robbed you! Would you send a letter to a mugger! FIGHT BACK.
