Complaint Review: automotive financial consult

I received an advertisment in the mail about extending my vehicle warranty.  As my manufacture warranty was about to run out I thought it would be a good idea to get an extended warranty.  I called and talked to the contact at Automotive Financial Consultants and went over the options offered.  I deceided to get the bumper to bumper warranty on 1/7/2009 on my 2004 Ford pick-up. 
The warranty was to run until 100,000 miles or until Jan 6, 2016.  The price of the warranty was 2625.00 which I purchased with a credit card.
My ford truck developed a oil leak, July 14th 2011, and the dealer said I should get it fixed.  I handed him the card sent to me by Automotive Financial Consultants and told him that they would pay for it.  He called and they told him the contract had been sold and the company was declaring bankruptcy.
I fee these businesses offering these type of warranty extensions should have to post a huge bond to handle the problems of customers.
