AutoNation Toyota Winter Park Lied to me about qualified APR to inflate cash price by over $1,000 Winter Park Florida
The sales manager told me I qualified for a new car purchase at 1.79% APR. I signed off on an agreed price at that rate. In reality, I qualified and received zero percent financing, but they lied to me and never told me this. When it came down to the official sale contract, they raised the price of the car by $1,224.37 and hoped I would never notice. I didn't notice upon signing it, but only after I got home. They shifted the cost of what I would have paid in interest, and added it to the cash price of the car.
I'm putting this here so others can be more observant and not fall into the same trap.

The sales managers sat down with me and reworked the contract. Overall I'm very happy with how they responded and fixed the situation.
For future car buyers, read the contract very carefully before signing. Don't sign anything quickly.

Some car dealers pull these things because they have the buyers figured out pretty well! The time to review the contract is BEFORE you agree to it!
