Placed an order on 10-19-09 for Harley Davidson license plate ($24.95) paid $13.11 extra for express mail.  The website states that they do not bill your CC until your item ships and that you will receive email notification when it does ship.  My CC was billed on 10-20-09 and I did not receive email notification of shipment.  I have tried several times to contact the company via the customer service link and the phone message system.

The only reply that I get is an automated email that states "Dear Auto Enthusiast,

Although this is a fully automated email that was sent due to a combination of both Fate and fancy sounding electronics, the autothing.com Staff really does appreciate your time and looks forward to getting in touch with you very soon (unless your email is simply an order update or compliment, in which case this auto-reply proves we received your message).

Sincerely,
The autothing.com Staff :a)"

I have since found a phone number for Andrew Curic, who is the CEO, the phone number I found is 630-582-4132. Stiill no luck reaching him, but the lady that answered said that "he was not in right now"

Don't let your frustration end here, you have other options.  If this has happenned to you, contact your bank, as they have some power over companies that don't stick to their own billing and shipping policies.  Also, check out the Federal Trade Commision website.  They also have information on companies who do not follow stated policies, and you can register a complaint with them as well.  Lastly, log on to the Better Business Bureau and register a complaint on their site.
