I went to look at a car advertised for $3,499.00 on Yahoo Autos.  I called to make sure the car was still available.  After a brief test drive with the gas light on, I sat down with the salesman, and he told me that the price of $3,499.00 was only if I was financing the car.  I could not buy the car for that price.  He would not give me a buy price, but then said they would only finance it after I insisted I didn't want to finance it and pay 3 times what the car was worth.

He assured me that no matter how bad my credit was, they would approve me to finance the car, and I could pay off the loan anytime I wanted to. (I would still be paying much more than the advertised price if I paid it off in the three months he suggested.)  He started writing figures that added to the finance price totaling approx $1300.00 in dealer fees.  Even if $300.00 of that was tax, where does the other $1,000.00 come from?  The car needed breaks among other things, so the inflated fees would have covered their costs to fix everything.  At this point I left.  I was not ripped off by this dealer, however, I don't want to see someone else ripped off by this unethical dealer either.  If you go there to buy a car, please be careful.  I wouldn't trust them to be fair, and I sincerely doubt their honesty.

Also, there is a sign in the store meant for their salepeople that says to make sure they collect email addresses from everyone.  I gave them mine, and started to receive spam.
