Complaint Review: Autumn Wind Apartments Beth Shanholtz

We rented our apartment from Autum Wind apartments and the b***h that is the apartment manager is a theive.A theif because she intentionally rips people off and keeps their deposits. We had no rental history so we paid a $775 deposit. $250 was for the deposit and $525 was one months rent.

We lived there for 2 years and never once paid our rent late or caused any problems or disturbances. Well when we moved out she not only kept our $775 deposit but billed us for all most a $1000! Claiming the carpet needed to be cleaned and the walls painted. Well yeah of corse they did,it is a law to have it done when a tenant moves out for health reasons.

Even if it was our obligation to pay for that WHICH IT IS NOT I do know that it does not cost $1,775 for it to be done. A friend of mine rented there too and was not allowed to do a "Walk through" before signing her lease but did not make too big of a deal about it because she had seen my apartment before and knew the lay out. Well when she got in it the tile in the kitchen had been PAINTED and the walls had tacky borders up and sea shells molded to the cabinets.

When she confronted the manager she told my friend she would have the painter come in and take care of it but it never happend. Unsatisfied as she was been lied to and ripped off she moved out. You'll never guess... To recieve a bill being charged a "breaking lease" fee, attorneys fees and been charged to paint, remove the borders, romove the sea shells and to fix the kitchen tile. If you see these apts for rent DON"T GO THERE SHE WILL RIP YOU OFF!!!!
