I arranged with the publisher of ypni newspaper, ava ross, to write a weekly article for her, starting nov. 2009. I posted at the website once a week without fail since then and as agreed, submitted a monthly invoice. they were accepted but no payment was ever forthcoming. after repeated reminders, I was told a cheque had been posted. it never arrived and upon pressing, she offered a second one. when that didn't arrive, I called her on it in march, said it was obvious she was just stalling. since then, she has promised to pay direct into my bank account several times but nothing. I have warned her that I would be reporting her and even shaming her on facebook but she alternates between offering to pay and telling me I'm `evil.' I have agreed to forgive all but the 1st 2 invoices and that amounts to $540 US.

I believe I have more than kept to my end of the bargain and even now am being reasonable but I cannot just allow 5 months' work to go unpaid. this whole situation has also cost me a lot of time and stress.
