Avalon Farms, Central Ohio Riding Club, Leah Wilson false promises, misleading, will not pay Marysville Ohio
I was a student at Avalon Farms (Leah Wilson) for a couple years(2005-2007). They advertise themselves as a "family oriented" place, but at age sixteen, I was propositioned by the instructor's fifty-seven year old husband and co-owner.
After an apology I was asked to keep the incident to myself. A shot time later I was asked to train a horse owned by one of the other students. She presented it as an amazing opportunity and even advised me to keep a "training log". I paid by the hour to ride/train this horse. The horse did not belong to her, but I wrote my checks to her figuring the owner probably got a percentage.
After a month or so she began to ask me to ride other horses, worried the owner (the thirteen year old owner) was disappointed with my work, I asked what was going on. She explained to me that the owner of the horse had stopped paying. Thats right. I WAS PAYING TO RIDE HER HORSE, AND AT THE SAME TIME SHE WAS PAYING FOR ME TO RIDE HER HORSE.
I was upset and sent an email to another instructor implying that I was considering telling people about the "incident" with her husband. The email was printed out and showed to Leah. We had words and Leah explained to me that I could tell whoever I wanted because "they already knew".
A week later I was asked not to return to the barn and she promised to send a check for the amount of the lessons I had not taken. (Lessons are paid for by the 1st of the month), months later, the check has never arrived.

For approximtely 10 years I paid for riding lessons for my daughter through Central Ohio Riding Club. I never had any problems. If I wasn't able to make a payment on the due date, Leah was always gracious to work with me. My daughter would work at the barn for extra riding time and also did her internship for her equine degree there and never had a problem with either Leah or her husband. I've watched the students at CORC bring home an amazing amount of ribbons. This, I feel, was due to Leah's teaching skills and all the hard work she and her husband have put into the business.

I have been training and boarding my horse with the Central Ohio Riding Club for almost a year. I have had nothing but a good experience with them. They are a family oriented stable and everyone there has been very welcoming, friendly, and helpful. They are more than willing to work with me whenever I've needed. I trust them totally in the care and well-being of my horse from the smallest things such as stall cleaning to larger things such as vet care. We all work together as a team (or family) to see every horse and their human is accommodated and well taken care of.
I will continue to board my horse at CORC as I am very happy with the love, care, and passion these folks show to the horses and the humans who love them every single day.

What you have just read above has no truth to it. I have been riding with Central Ohio Riding Club sense I was seven years old, so I would know if that was true or not. The person that wrote this can not let this go,because she updates this all the time so it is at the top of Google when you type in the farm name. She is just trying to get attention because that is the only thing that matters to her.
Central Ohio Riding Club is great. This chick did not have to pay to ride the horse, she got payed to ride the horse. She is just a HUGE drama queen. The only reason she put this on here is because people that spread rumors(her) are really just sad lame individuals who don't wan't to talk about their own pathetic lives. I think that she is CRAZY in the head and should be locked up before she hurts herself.

NONE of this is true she is just absolutely insane i have been working there almost all my life and i have never been happier and none of this is true !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!I am out raged at this whole thing. She said that they were a family oriented business AND GUESS WHAT ..........THAT IS ALL TRUE!!!!!!!!!!I think that she is just trying to ruin another business ,and you know what Leah Wilson's husband is not that old at all and that i know for a fact. Also a few days ago she confessed that she was never going to be a rich horse person because i always try my best to get the opportunities to get a share of what they want .And i don't know why anybody would want to sabotaged this
