Avalon Villas Apartments horrible maintenance, frequent water shutoffs, pathetic cutomer service: JUST AVOID LIVING HERE! Irving Texas
I have been a resident at Avalon Villas Apartment complex (formerly known as Lions Head) for 1.5 years. The management changed a couple fo months back and since then there has been no end to the resident's troubles:
- Water shuttoff: 8 times during the last 30 days, for the whole DAY... mostly without notice. Residents were left hanging outside/running to walmart for water cans for their kids!
- Horrible maintenance - A friend who was locked out of his only restroom was lectured on "safety" practices with no effort to have his problem fixed. My roof was leaked and it took them a couple of weeks to get it fixed. The water damage signs on my ceiling have still not been removed after 2 months!
- Ripping off ex-residents- Another friend was leaving the apartment, and he was sent in an exorbitant bill for soem minor damage.
This apartment is a RIPOFF!! Come and live at your own peril!

Avalon Villas Apartments Since June 2008
The Avalon Villas Apartments Management has made and continues to make property improvments. The response to maintenance requests is great with same day turnaround. This quiet and peaceful community is a great place to live and I plan to live here a long time. The management personnel are courteous and helpful and respond to requests in a timely manner.
I am sorry that this person had such a rough time living there, but I will tell you my experience. I moved there and in 2 weeks my place flooded. They moved me to another unit and I have been there since with little to no problems. The roofs of the entire complex are being replaced at this time and I have not had any significant problems. I even had a horrible leak under my sink at my new apt and it caused the flow of water the rip off report is referring to. They made all the water turn offs because in order to work on the pipe system and replace pipes as it was required. Every day the old pipes which were not replaced or repaired properly for over 15 years by previous owners became the sad lot of new owners. The property tried diligently to inform all tenants of water shut offs, as I received many notifications on my doors for at least two to three days notice. The complaint this person lodged had to do with my apt water pipes and I just wanted to set the story straight. I do not believe the person who file this rip off report was aware of the conditions as they were developing on a day to day basis. However, in setting the record straight I have additional comments about the place I call "Home". Further, I take offense when my home is put out there as a "dump". Therefore, I am filing this rebuttle.
This is in reference to a ripoff report that was made on this property.
This property has made and is still making significant improvements to
buildings, and landscape. The turnaround for maintenance requests is the
same day. I read the report on line for this property and it made me angry
to think that someone could just make a report so flipantly. This property
is quiet, peaceful and consists of a community that know each other and is
keenly aware of any suspicious activity. The property is safe for children,
and elderly and above all, the residents here are very friendly and helpful
to each other. This community consists of residents who are familiar with
their neighbors who are like family. It is common to find several residents
visiting together as they return home from work. The pool area is kept very
clean, and the residents' areas are cleaned daily of trash, leaves, etc.
The new fitness center is clean and filled with up to date exercise
equipment to enhance a healthy lifestyle. The office staff are always
friendly, helpful, and know how to resolve a multitude of issues. This
property keeps strict rules about pets on leashes and keeping the property
free from pet escretement, as well as the owners of pets responsible for
picking up after their pets. This property is a safe environment and has
courtesy police on the property as well. I can not imagine living anywhere
else than here. This is not just a run of the mill apartment complex, the living quarters are designed like townhomes and even have storm doors and windows. I love living here, and am proud to call Avalon Villas HOME>
