Avangate.com Avangate removed money from my account without any notice or premission! Internet

I have actually never heard of this company until about a week ago. I don't believe I have used them for any reason (at least to my knowledge). I learned of this company after about $60 was taking out of my account. The merchant was clearly stated on my statement. I even went as far as calling my bank and notifying them. I also asked when the purchase was made. They told me the amount had be validate the night before I noticed the money was in processes.

This was news to me since I had not used my card for any purchase, since I was very low on funds and waiting to get paid. Now, just like everyone else, I am upset at this point and started to do some research. Was I wrong? Had i set up an automatic bill pay without knowing? After doing research, I found that an antivirus software I used to use was sold through Avangate. Okay, one problem though, that subscription was only purchase for a single year. Was there small print i did not read or something? I never authorized any transaction with this website to my knowledge. Even when I did have the software, I purchased it directly from the product's website. I have never used this site in my life. 

 

Anyone else have similar problems? Am I in the wrong here? Did I miss something? Let me know and I will gladly own up to my mistake.
