Avangate.com Total Defense Watch out for these guus Internet
Despite many emails, and an assurance that they had fixed the problem, this company continued to charge my Capitol One credit card until I got a Capitol One rep on the phone and he got through to Avangate to cancel the charge (which I hope they did). Its one of those pretty fine prints 'we will continue to bill you unless we hear from you' deals.
OK, these things are a plague and, in my opinion should be banned.
There are several other problems here.
The first is that the product, which when I purchased originally was made by Computer Associates, has been sold off to some overseas outfit.
The next is that the product does not work. Several months ago both my wife and I were virtually wiped out when a pretty well known virus got by the checker. Kaput we were. Had to reformat with professional help. Switched over to AVG and no problems since.
