On 3/10/14, my daughter called a locksmith because she locked her keys inside her car.  She called what was advertised on the internet as a local company, to assist her.  When she asked the charges , she was told there is a $19 service call and $39 and up for labor.

When the locksmith, who arrived in an unmarked suv, arrived, he looked around the vehicle and unlocked her car in approximately 20 seconds and turned around and told her $125 labor, which made her total $157!!!!!

When I researched this company, there are several complaints on the BBB site, even though they are not BBB accredited.  Other sites also have many complaints about how this company quotes $39 and up and arrive in your desperate state and charge $150.  I feel my daughter was taken advantage of majorly, due to her age and because she was female and in need.

I have called and left messages twice and emailed them twice, but no response in two days.  i called a number my daughter gave me as well. A man answered and didn't answer with locksmith professional manner and when I asked him if this was Avenue Locksmith , he said yes, but with complaints about charges, he said I would need to call the main number.  There are two addresses and approximately four numbers for this business.  The license number through DPS is B16363, which is different then their website license number, B18004.

Please contact me with any information you receive.

Thank you!

Nephew locked his keys in car - called and they quoted 25.00.  Got here, unlocked the car then stated $150.00!!  I called, emailed but no response at all.  These people are scam artists.
