Complaint Review: Averatec

Averatec They will not fix my laptop screen even though its only 3 months old and the damages WAS NOT caused by me. Sanata Ana California

I purchased a laptop from averatec hoping that the generic name brand was NOT and an indication of quality. Boy was I wrong.

The laptop screen went hay wire after only 3 months of use. I sent the machine back to avertec for warranty repair because the problem was obviously a manfacturing issue. The avertec tech said that he thought I had broke the screen when I was closng the machine. I asked to speak with someone hire up and NO ONE would return my calls. Great customer service when not even the corporate folks care that they sold you a piece of crap for $1,ooo! The Industry leaders would never have ignored my concerns. And since when does closing your laptop break it? I guess this point helps to illustrate the very low quality of avertec technology.

I have had to retain an attorney and requested the tech report detailing the Averatec conclusions regarding repair. I will have a second opinion to prove my innocence in this matter. My tech friends have looked at the machine and without hesitation, said that its an obvious manufacturing flaw.

This is the worst case of fraud I have ever experienced. They sold me a product that does not work and wont fix it unless I pay for it. No customer service, no Tech service. Circuit City should be ashamed that they even sell the product.
