On Vacation in Myrtle Beach SC. I used avis car rental at myrtle beach airport.  Online i rented a Mustang convertible paid for it in full.  When we went to pickup the car. The woman at Avis said her records showed a hardtop and the only convertible they had was a Volkswagon Bug. which was unexceptable. since i had all my paperwork with me clearly stateing Mustang Convertible. 

While walking out to the lot to look at the car. we passed a Mustang convertible sitting 2 spaces away. Now i am not happy so i went back to talk the the Avis woman about this and she said the car was paid for and rented.  I said  YES BY ME.Still would not give me the car. but said if one comes back I will call you and you can exchange it. So i said ok.

Two days into the trip i called Avis  still no convertible. No calls from Avis for the entire 7 days.  When returning the car to the lot what is sitting there.... A convertible Mustang!   Thanks Avis for doing nothing !     I contacted Avis after the trip and their responce was....Sorry it was an error on our part, Next time your in the area call me  and i will try to make the transaction more smooth.    REALLY !!    Moral of the story . Even though you have paid for proof of your purchase with Avis , they dont't care about helping the customer much.  I will never rent from Avis again  !
