Complaint Review: Avlis Travel - Freedom Financial

I received a phone call that sounded very professional. Since my credit isn't the best I was told that for 349.00 i could receive a visa with a 3000 limit.

I should have known this was too good to be true, but with christmas just around the corner I was ripe for the pickin. Honestly I really wouldn't have wanted or needed a card, but the only thing my 11 yr old boy wanted for xmas aside from his father back who recently passed away, were inline skates. The ones he wanted were online and we needed a cc.

I got the call at the end of nov. The money was taken out on the 3rd of december. I was told it would take 25-30 days. I told this to my boy so he wouldn't be disappointed at xmas and he said it was ok as long as he got them he would be happy. Well xmas came and went and even though he didnt get much he knew his blades would be coming soon.

Finally received a package from them about vacation resorts. Didn't understand what that was all about, but in the middle of all this was an application for a credit card. I called immediatly. The no. was in service at that point. She said "yes I was approved, not preapproved but I still had to fill out the application for the cc. I didn't understand why if I was approved I still had to fill this out. She was very nasty to me but reassured me that after they received the paperwork my visa would come in a few weeks. Well guess what, no card, phone no. is no longer in service and kid never did get his blades.

I am very upset because money is tight here. I work part time because my son has a learning disability, tourettes and adhd so I have to be here for him. He of course gets no child support but does get social security, of course that isnt much. I just want my money back. Another company called freedom finacial tapped into my account and ripped me off 200. coincidence? Now I'm out 549.
