Complaint Review: Avoirskincare.com

Avoirskincare.com offered a trail bottle of skin care cream for wrinkles advertised on the Ellen Degeneres Show.

I ordered the trial bottle and paid $3.96 for shipping and handling on October 11, 2014.  The product arrived & I tried it and found it not to live up to it's advertising & would not order the product again.  On October 28, 2014 my checking account was debited for $98.73.

I called the toll free number and spoke to a representative named Guy.  He was very insulting.  Among many things he told me I should have learned to read better; that the trial period was stated in the small print.  That his 80 yr. old mother & 5 church friends used the product & it was as advertised. That I couldn't return any unused product as that would be illegal.  That I could not speak to his supervisor because he had full authority to deny any credit.  But then he contradicted himself by saying that he would be fired if he offered me any kind of credit.  However, 15 minutes later Guy called me back and offered a $34.56 credit to 'help' me.

This debit overdrafted my bank account & put me in a very difficult financial position as at 70 yrs. of age I live on $980 social security.

Another Ripoff report on this company is dated October 4, 2014.  This reporter also states that the terms and conditions are not on their website.

I have tried other offers sponsored by Ellen Degeneres with no issues.
