Beware potential representatives! Avon guarantees 100% satisfaction of their products to customers, but you as the representative are forced to pay all shipping costs and losses to return those items to Avon, while they are not out a penny. This is not a 100% satisfaction guarantee. The rep pays, out of their paultry commissions and/or pocket. Reps are charged high prices for catalogs and any other sales material (to sell for them?). Should you be late on paying your invoices for any reason - (even due to job layoff and bankruptcy in the home), they charge horrendous late fees and use collection companies like Allied Data Corporation to use threat tactics. We're talking for supposed $90.00. Avon should be ashamed to treat representatives in this way. And especially for using companies like Allied Data who break the "Fair Debt Collection Practices Act rules, enforced by the FTC. My mother sold Avon for 30 years before it became the type of company it is today....an embarrassment and a rip-off to those women and men who believe they might be able to make a buck selling Avon products. Avon does not back their representatives.
