I bought a brand new truck at Avondale Dodge in Oct of 2002. The entire experience was a nightmare. They added everything to the contract that I had said No!to. Then the process was to delete the things I did not want.I was there from 11:00 in the morning until 9:00 in the evening. They just wore me down.

They ended up adding a 1/2% of interest that I did not catch the 3rd time through writing the contract. Then they said they could not correct it because it was already submitted to Chrysler Financial. I contacted them and they backed up the dealer. They charged me for window etching $500. They never performed it and would not give me the money back until I contacted the State Attorney General's Office after fighting with them for over a year.

They would not send me my title or license plates because they were mad. I had to turn them in to DMV after 4 months of complaining, I got my tags 2 weeks after DMV investigated them.

It would take forever to explain the entire horrible experience! Don't let them have a chance at you!

Connie:

You were there from 11:00 A. M. to 8:00 P.M.?
What message did that send them? It doesn't take eight hours to buy a car! Over and over and over I hear/read stories from people who think so little of themselves that they play the role of doormat just to get a stupid car. They kept you 8 hours. The message you sent them is "guys, do anything you want to me. I'll just stay here like a little mouse and take whatever garbage you give me and when its all over with, I'll reward you by giving you the business and profit!"

Connie, you are much too valuable of a person to be treated like this and to respond like that. Next time any car dealer treats you like garbage or lies to you, DONN'T REWARD THEM...GET OUT!!!!
Not all car dealers are pond scum but those who are really love customers with no backbone, the payment shoppers and the car crazy. Those are the prime targets for their criminal fraud/deception crimes. Don't give them a target!
