Complaint Review: Avvo.com

I received 2 unsolicited calls from this place trying to solicit me to use your service to get clients.  I had never heard Avvo (a website that lists attorneys), never listed with Avvo, never gave them persmission to put my information on thier website and I have not been a practicing attorney in New York State for over 10 years!!! 

As a matter of fact, since I haven’t practiced law nor paid my dues, nor had any continuing education, I am not in good standing with NY! 

I asked the non-sales person" (he stated by saying that he was not contacting me for a “sales call” but kept telling me how to get clients from your list) who called me how he got my name.  All he could say was that it was from the NY State bar and was "public records". 

I asked this "non-sales" person to remove my name, he said he couldn't, so i asked for his supervisor.  He put me on hold and never came back.  

I tried several times to call the "customer service" number for this place and ended up in voice-mail hell!!

I send several emails for them to immediatly remove my name and information from their site and all of their mailing lists.  

Their response was that it would take 5 days to be removed from thier lists and they could not remove my name from their website!!!!!!!!! Oh and to have a wonderful day.
