I have a friend that has worked at Rent-A-Center for a little over a year. He has told me numerous horror stories about that company and it's practices.

Apparently they require returned merchandise to be price 4 1/2 times more than it is worth. Also they demand that customers come in and pay, and if they do not comply then the delivery drivers will be at the customers house later that day to pick it up.
Also the company will file theft of service against a customer if they do not return the merchandise or make a payment. Also he has a evil district manager that will yell at him in front of customers. Apparently she will break company policy and let customer's references know that charges are about to be brought towards their friend or family member. The turnover rate is incredibly high, 50% of new employees will make it six months. 15% will make it a year. He has been a loyal employee. Going in on days off, staying late, coming early. He has no life now except that company. They do not even pay their employees all that well. I am in sales as well at a diffrent company and I do not have to do anything but sell. He has to fill the spot where the merchandise was. Clean everything. And he has to make sure that his drivers get the delivery done on time. To much s**t if you ask me.

So what is YOUR complaint? This is a rip-off report website for consumers to submit THEIR complaints on, not for an employee's friend to shoot the sh** since you have failed to put any connection between YOU specifically and the company in your previous posting.

Your friend may have rough situations where he is at. That doesn't mean that because there is one bad store or district out there that it effects the entire company nationwide. I work in North Carolina, I have been with the company for over two years now. Our area does not have that much turn over in staff and we have a pretty good District & Regional Manager we work with. Pay is better then average for our area & the benefits are very good.
