Axel from Red Lotus Tattoo HUGE error having Axel tat me up, 7 laser tat removal sessions already coon rapids Minnesota
June 15th, 2013 was a rough day.
I had Axel who worked at Red Lotus Tattoo in Coon Rapids, before being let go, do my tat. I wanted black ink only. My bad for being talked into colors as Axel says he specializes in color and would make it look great. Well, it turned out the opposite of great. I've had 7 laser tattoo removal sessions so far, cover my arm with a complression sleeve daily, and am consumed with this horrible tattoo. Blues, greens, reds, flesh colors, all of the hardest colors to laser out. What was rough was that the first session, which was supposed to be the only session, had the tat looking like a dress under my existing skeleton tat.
So, I had to conceive of an idea to fix the color clouds up, which actually looked like water. So, a scroll piece was used to bring the edges of the water, sorry clouds, out further, to take the dress affect, or Christmas tree effect away. Done, but nothing close to what I wanted. Attached are some pictures of original, and stops along the way of laser sessions. Also, a pic of the type of clouds I had shown Axel that I wanted done.
Just posting here as I am pissed off about all the money this is costing, the embarssment, and especially since Axel said he would fix the original nightmare which Mr Scott Farrell of 4 Points Body Gallery of Minneapolis, MN first began this whole fiasco.
I'd say Scott was the D bag who started this whole rush to Axel, who just compounded the problem by using color and just poor design. Axel did a Jesus face tat with the clouds, one eye larger than the other, making people ask "who's that dude?"
This whole thing has been a mess. As an athlete and avid weight lifter, this has been immensely embarrasing and it sucks when people arent accountable.
I tried texting Axel many times. Finally I left a voicemail at Lotus asking if they do laser removal, right after I got the tat, as Axel is infamous for not responding back to you. I got a voicemail back from manager, Scott I think, at the time, but by that point, I was moving on, spending my first huge chunk of change to start that lasering.
Here is what I have spent on this disaster:
Laser schedule:
renewal laser- 3 session, $200 per= $600 (medium quality.)
Beloved laser session-$150= $150 (shitty quality, rude)
Tat Removal Shop- 2 sessions=$109 (best quality, stank a*s breath)
NE Laser-1 session so far= $200
Total as of September 2014= $1059.00
ETC:
Tat pain cream= $5
cover up sleeves to wear at work= $14, $13, $13 = $40.00
2 wrkout sleeves $15 x 2= $30
Total ETC: $75.00
S*** Tats Cost:
Scott s*** tat: $340.00
Axel tat nightmare: $340.00
S*** Tats total cost: $680.00
Horse s*** nightmare drama grand total: $1814.00. Forgive me Jesus.

Hi Amy and Lee,
It's too bad that I have messaged you 15 times before you respond. Funny how you say you messaged me but I must have not recieved it. My fault, I see.
You respond on 4-30-14 saying you are busy and will get back to me. I post on here about Axel's chop job on my arm. You are notified by ripoffreport and, wow, out of the blue, you message me! On 10-29-14. So, a day shy of SIX full months, and you get back to me.
I feel respected.
Anyway, as a business man myself, I think that is poor customer service and relative to a big "F you."
As you can confirm these are true facts. I'm not taking a shot at you, I am stating the facts. It is unfortunate that Axel Manthar was hired by Red Lotus and allowed to take on a job he could not do. Now, as I have bought a groupon to do a pico laser treatment in Chicago IL, my expenses continue to pile up. I have started donating plasma as all of these treatments have steadily depleted my hard earnd money. What a nightmare this has been. Of course you have no interest in this. I'll stop as this is pointless. Just wanted to share how your lack of care to follow up with a customer was frustrating. Since I am not the type to commit a crime on one who wrongs me, I utilize means that are legal and available.

You ruined my arm, why wouldnt I? Also, I never wanted a sleeve, genius. Also, you said THREE more sits, at $300 a pop. $300 x 4 = $1200. Not $600. Don't know how to ad? You tried to upsell me and changed the whole concept of what I wanted. Now I have to go to Vernon Hills, IL, I live in MN, to pay top dollar for picosure laser to get the last of your crap ink out of my body. what a mess! ONE YEAR AND FIVE MONTHS I've been dealing with this. Wearing a sleeve on my arm always. THAT is why I continue to share my story. As you have said "have a nice day"

If Scott Farrell of 4 Points Body Gallery would have been professional and honest from the start, this mess could have been avoided. I never mentioned more than one session of tats. At end of the crap hands and dove he did, he's saying he could have my arm looking sweet in 2-3 more sessions. Wtf?
I was so in shock that at the end of the session I had a tat placed not even where I wanted, open arm space I wanted covered and a design I didn't even suggest. I suggested a hand reaching down from heaven, a dove and maybe Jesus face too, I can't recall on 3rd tattoo. Point was, SPREAD out to take emphasis OFF of large kneeling skeleton tat. Him putting hands and dove together above skeleton was his idea and made no sense to what I wanted and told him. He said " I see the hands and dove more together."
I'm a big boy and could have said no, but put my trust in his vision. Big mistake. After the crap work, and then emailing Scott and sharing that we never discussed more sessions, that the ink work was done poorly, not holding up, and deeper in some places than others, Scott was mum.
If he did reply, when I asked simply for a refund, he shared, and I quote: "Have a nice day" no period.
That's what he actually emailed.
Well, I did follow thru with BBB and a Yelp review that seems to have disappeared.
Worst ink experience ever, and now I will be doing at least TWO years of laser removal to remove that mess and the subsequent rush to fix Mr. Ferralls mistake with Axel, which was another mistake.
Lesson learned here, kids, don't get a tat without the sketch (which Scott didnt do with my original idea, shared he didnt get the email, and Axel didnt do with the clouds portion), if you have any reservations, do BLACK ink, not color, harder to remove, if one tat artists screws up, consider the costs and time of potential laser tat removal BEFORE you act to remove orginal chop job.
