Axia College, University Of Phoenix unethical business practices and rip off artists Phoenix Arizona
I spent the last year at Axia College, University of Phoenix online campus maintaining an A average and following my program accordingly. I was mislead and lied to by my financial advisor that I had student Aid money coming to me on a certain date, as I was told I would receive financial aid money every 5 months or so. When the money did not show up I contacted her repeatedly to find out what the problem was, only to be ignored by her for several days.
I went to her supervisor to find out what was going on with my financial aid money who explained to me that the money that was just sent and processed, but because I started a new school year I would not receive any of that money until six months have passed by.
Why would they tell me that I have money coming to me and then change their statement after the money made it to them? I noticed that I did not get a response from them until the money had already cleared the bank as was in their custody.
I was never informed that this was the way that things would be done, not by my councilor or in any mail from my school. Today June 11, 2009 I am stoping my participation in my classes, mainly because of the misleading statements by my financial advisor have caused me to expect money for bills that I needed to survive. I will be requesting an Official Withdrawl Form from the University tommorrow, and I am sure that the war will them be on with their unethical relations and collections departments.
