Complaint Review: AXSYS NATIONAL BANK FINGERHUT

About 4 years ago I had opened an account with AXSYS NATIONAL BANK aka Fingerhut. Well I started making a few payments and then was unable to finish but later on down the road I decided I needed to finish paying so I was getting settlements in the mail and I recieved one that said pay off your balance with 80% of original balance so I was thrilled to have this opportunity. So I sent the check off and had asked in the letter for a reciept. I was also smart to send it certified just to make sure anything should happen.

So as a couple weeks pass I recieve the postcard of the certified letter saying they did recieve it. I also had recieved the check back from my bank telling me it was cashed but I never recieved a reciept from the company. " go figure " So I assumed everything went well. I was mistaken I recieved my credit report a few months down the road with AXSYS NATIONAL BANK aka Fingerhut saying I still owed them the same amount. Right underneath that I see another report from AXSYS NATIONAL BANK with another name MSN saying I paid them off. The thing is I never recieved anything from that company it was only from fingerhut. The settlement letter I had sent the check to said AXSYS NATIONAL BANK FINGERHUT not MSN. So I paid off something I never even heard of before and FINGERHUT is still claiming I owe them money. I am furious that is the only negative credit on my report.
