I moved from Long Beach, Ca last June. I went online to find a moving company. Well I started getting all these emails from different moving companies.

I chose to go with National Moving Network. I talked with a guy by the name of Matt. He was very helpful. Got my $500.00 deposit and I never heard from him again. The next time I called National I was referred to a different representative. I never knew AY Transport was a company who would be hired out by National.

Once this company contacted me about my move date, they informed me that someone had to be available to open my storage. I sent the keys airborne express to a friend in Long Beach the storage units were opened and AY Transport picked up my furniture.

Well it took me four days to find out they actually had my stuff. I spoke with Rosemary At AY Transport who informed me my balance increased $700.00. For packaging fees that we did not discuss and being 500 lbs. over weight.

I tried to explain to Rosemary that I am a single parent who could not come up with that kind of money on such short notice and her reply was " you knew you were moving you should have saved the money before you hired a moving company.

I did save the money, however I didn't plan on these new fees. Then I asked them not to put my items on a truck because I didn't have the money to pay.

They put my items on the truck anyway and Rosemary told me if I didn't have the money when they got to my apartment my stuff would go to Florida.

Of course I didn't have the money and when I asked for a copy of the weight tickets and the inventory list from their company they couldn't produce either one.

Now they are holding my stuff hostage saying that I owe an additional 970.00. Then when I pay it I have to pick up my own stuff from the storage.

Is there anyone with a suggestion on how to get my stuff with out having to pay their additional costs.

This was my first time using a moving company and I feel like they have totally screwed me.

Is their anyone out there who can help me?
