I ran into a financial emergency in July 2008 and decided to take a payday loan from this company because it was easy. Everything seemed fine...I got $200 for the loan and the fees started at $65 and increased $5 each time I extended. Since then I have made arrangements to pay the loan back but keep running into emergencies like car problems and having to pay my rent and all of that. I have other bills that are more important right now. So I have fallen out of the agreement. Prior to the arrangement I made with them a man called me at my place of employment where I am not really supposed to receive phone calls. He proceeded to harass me and pretty much call me a deadbeat asking for my payroll information and I know that is illegal to do without judges orders. He then hung up on me because I would not give him my bank info since I no longer have a bank account since it has been closed. I transferred my pay checks to my room mates account. I refuse to give them any information of hers. As soon as they hung up they called back and my receptionist picked up and he harassed her until she gave me the phone back...where he continued to harrass me again until I made a payment arrangement via moneygram. Then I had to pay extra on some other bills around the time of the arrangement and had to take care of my car...I sent them an email to the address that emailed me with the payment information. I never received a response. Two weeks after the arrangement passed they called me at work again, just about harrassing me. I asked them to please stop calling my work phone because it could get me in trouble and cause me to lose their job. They said that they can not do that. I filed a complaint with the national do not call list since I registered my work number with them. They called again this morning. I am at my wits end about this company and am fearful that they will never stop calling my work. They have been blocking their number for my work phone and my personal cell phone and they never leave a message. If anyone has any information on how I can get them to stop calling my work, that would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
