I had my daughter in the Baby Miss Texas Pageant with Sammie Savoie and Baby Miss America Pageant in October of 2015. My daughter won her division and we were planning on going to the National Pageant. Everything was going fine until Sammie decided that their would now be 2 winners in my daughters division. When I found out that, I simply emailed Sammie asking why and she became a different person. She was rude and told me that she could do what she wanted and she decided that 2 girls were winners in just one division now.

I politely emailed her back saying that we would not be going to Nationals now and I did not agree with the way the pageant was being run. I say all of this as backstory because it seems that this is only reason she is holding my $20 book. We didn't receive our pageant books at the pageant but were told that the pageant books (book of ads that we had to purchase) would be mailed by the end of the year. It is now February 1, 2017 and we have heard every 'excuse' as to why we have not received the book. Some of the ads were submitted late (not ours) so that was delaying it.

Then there was a system crash and she had to redo the entire book. I have several rude and condesending emails from Sammie stating all of the excuses. Bottom line: it has been 16 months since the pageant. An entire pageant year (local, state and nationals) have come and passed. There is absolutely no reason as to why we have not received the pageant book. All I want is the book. It is a memory of my daughter's pageant and I would love to be able to show it to her. I have expressed that to Sammie and she has just become a very cold and disheartening person.

Unexpected Delay

#5REBUTTAL Owner of company

Sun, April 08, 2018

During the Spring Storms of 2016, we experienced a catastrophic system crash and lost all data, resulting in the unexpected delay of Pageant Book and Picture Package production. It took almost a year and 5 different companies to finally recover only 80% of the lost data. once recovered, the data had to be sorted and all Pageant Books redesigned. After the long, tedious process, Pageant Books went into production and Picture Package orders were filled. We have conducted an in-depth audit to confirm delivery of all orders. If we cannot confirm delivery through the USPS, we order a reprint. Address Confirmation Forms were sent to everyone affected by the delay. We have implemented new policies and procedures to ensure this will not happen in the future. Contestants are not required to purchase a Pageant Book, it is optional. Age divisions do change based on the level of competition. The focus should not be on who your child is competing against, the focus should be on the Pageant Experience, watching your child develop self-confidence and self-esteem while having fun and meeting new friends. Our contestants are judged on an individual points based system.

My little girl particpated in the Baby Miss Missouri pageant and i ordered the $100 digtal photo package. I have since email sammie nurmours times and i have only heard back once from her stating that it takes a minimal of 6-8 weeks to get the pictures but here it is March 27 and i havent heard from them nor recieve my pictures. My little girl will never particapte in that pageant again it was fixed and no matter how many times i corrected them they still could get her name right (Anastaisa). She was the only girl from south missiouri but somehow they choose a girl that was from way north missiouri to win the Baby miss south missiouri and the list goes on.. I am sorry if this offennds anyone but i find it hard to believe that out of 3200 contestants she was the only Hispanic child to be chosen to participate and there was only five white girls and a little asain baby and the rest where black. Not trying to be racist but i find that very very hard to believe and then to have them place in best nature hair when it was slicked back into a bun but pass over plenty of girls who had long beautiful hair that was left down (my little girl has nautral curly locks that make perfect wrinklets) i find it all hard to believe that it wasnt fixed...I am extermely pissed off right now.
