Alert to new moms! Don't be fooled by the Baby's First Book Club. I was pregnant with my first son, and I received a flyer from this company claiming "unique" and age-appropriate materials for my baby. I thought that these materials would be perfect, so I signed up.

The problem is the prices and "uniqueness" of the books. I will admit, the design of the cloth books are different, although I am seeing similar books just about everywhere, Target, Walmart, Barnes and Nobles, etc. for alot cheaper than the $10-15 plus $4.95 shipping I paid for my "unique" books.

What finally caused me to close my account was the soft cover books that are claimed to be unique for Baby's First Book Club. I walked into Walmart's book section one day, and saw just about every book that I sent away for sitting on the shelf, I just about died! The same person even created them (for example, Priddy Bricknell), just for another publication company! I was shelling out the same amount of money, plus shipping and handling for the same books, and sometimes Walmart even had them discounted.

Beware mommies, of being preyed on by companies who want you to believe that you are doing the very best for your child by buying into their products. I guarantee you can find the "best" just about anywhere they sell children's items.
