I bought a piston kit from this company on Feb 17th, 2005. After five emails asking for a tracking number, with no replies, I finally got a hold of them and I have copied and pasted our online chat below:

John Doe: piston and rings for a 49cc motor

John Doe: I ordered this on the 17th of feb

Jonie: ok, what size for the wrist pin? dont want to send the wrong one, you can measure it by a ruler

John Doe: YOU HAVEN"T EVEN SHIPPED IT YET!

Jonie: ok we can ship you the 49cc piston and rings and if they dont match up, you can not return them

John Doe: no wait

Jonie: I will send them tomorrow

John Doe: Let me get the size and I want them shipped UPS next day air. If you do not think that this is possible then I want my money back!

Jonie: yes we can do that, we want to make sure they will fit

John Doe: so you will ship it ups next air for no extra charge

John Doe: if so i will go get the size

Jonie: yes

Jonie: yes

John Doe: the part that the bearing goes on is .39"

John Doe: the outer diameter of the piston is 1.731"

Jonie: ok We will match it up and send them to you.

John Doe: thank you

John Doe: I will be emailing an evaluation of your service and product after I receive it on SATURDAY!

John Doe: I mean FRIDAY

Jonie: I can not send this tonight

Jonie: oh today is wed, never mind,I work 7 days a week , it all blends together

John Doe: so it will be here friday, right?

Jonie: an elvaluation of our service?

Jonie: we did not want to send you something you could not fit , we could have just sent anything

John Doe: I ordered this item on Feb 17th. I emailed and talked to you five times about getting a tracking number. No reply any of the times. I f you want I can send you copies of the emails
John Doe: I'll expect the product on friday. Thank you

Jonie: ok I will just refund your money, because at the price of $19.99 I was not making anything, so I will refund your card. thank you for your order

John Doe: You've got to be kidding me!

Jonie: yes it was $19.00 for usa made piston & rings shipped to california, will you were getting a good deal. so I will refund you and have a good night.bye

John Doe: If you will ship the product tomorrow UPS Next Day air I will have no beef with you

John Doe: unless you want this to go farther

Jonie: go farther? we are out of stock and cant fill your order, I am sorry for the delay

John Doe: you know what, send the refund now! I want to see that you have sent me the money before I get off of this thing!

As you can see I was met with a rude, horrible serviceperson!

I reccomend that no one ever do business with this company ever!

This is called the bad business bureau, and this is where you belong. I waited for 3 weeks, all the while contacting 5 times. You could have emailed at any time telling me that you needed to confirm the sizes. sheesh. how do you ever expect to stay in business with service like that.

Service: Installation, maintenance, or repairs provided or guaranteed by a dealer or manufacturer: a dealer with full parts and service.

Of course, it's completely understandable why you would overlook this one, as you clearly have no frame of reference as to its meaning.

Your excuses change throughout the story. They go from "we could have just sent you anything" to "I'm not making anything on the deal" to "we are out of stock". Gotta give you credit here - that pretty much covers the range of possibilities!

If the refund has been processed, then I agree that there's no harm. However, please tell us how this would have ever happened had the customer NOT continued to try and pin you down. Apparently you would have let it go on indefinitely. So, I consider the original post to be a valid complaint.

Or, in your format:

Complaint: An expression of pain, dissatisfaction, or resentment.

Get a clue here, the "dissatisfaction" seems pretty obvious to everyone.

BSS- your Order:
Options.. ship order of 49cc piston & ring maybe it will fit & maybe not? All sales final.
Options..Or our mechanic said he need the size for the wrist pin to be able to ship the correct 49cc piston to fit? no need for return.
We were trying to get John Doe exactaly what he wanted and sure that it would fit ,and for this we are a RIPPOFF BAD BUSINESS?

I even said I would send them Next day air.
And per your words, If I couldnt get it to you next day air.. I WANT MY MONEY BACK
John Doe Said....If I do what you DEMAND you will have NO BEEF WITH ME.( sounds like a threat to me) John Doe said...You are going to give us an EVALUATION of our Services & Products? ( sounds Rude & nasty to me)
