Complaint Review: Bada Production Australia Pty. Ltd.

This report is addressed to the worldwide production community (tv, film, photo, video, commercials, etc.). I suggest you avoid doing business with this company or individual; it can cost you dearly.

After bidding and being awarded a 2 day shoot (production service job to be coordinated in Barcelona, Spain), tv commercial for a leading korean bank (KEB Korea Exchange Bank); we fully commit ourselves to the job, obtaining location permits and penciling a full crew for the shoot. As standard business practice we request swift transfer of 50% of total production service quote, as production advance and guarantees towards upcoming shoot, we accept a partial payment and issue first invoice (30,000) expecting funds be transfered at sight. Days go by and no sign of the money in our account. Our contact, Australian / Korean line producer - fixer, Mr. Daniel Son is expected in Barcelona with other KR crews arrivals, director, d.o.p, agency, etc. 24 hours prior to their arrival we receive notification of possible postponement, which ends up being a complete cancellation. We are requested to submit a cancellation invoice and do so immediately (16,000). All this takes place between August and September 2007. All blame is supposedly placed on the advertising agency (Diamond Ogilvy Group, Seoul) and we are asked for some extra time for collection. Since then, communication is non existent, our requests are unanswered and no single payments have taken place!!!

We have also contacted the advertising agency DIAMONG OGILVY (no news yet), the advertiser KEB KOREA EXCHANGE BANK (still waiting to be contacted by proper ad executive), as well local production co. in Seoul, FILM MOBYDICK (no news either) ... hey these are no small fish in the industry ... incredible how nobody cares about their reputation or how others handle their accounts?

We havent given up our hopes on collection, but in the mean time if we can avoid any further wrong doing to others, we will definitely speak out loud and SPREAD THE WORD.
