Bahamas Royal contacted me by phone (11-352-633-1309) with a discounted package of 4 days and 3 nights stay at Disney in Florida and Daytona Beach in Florida - hotel room only, plus a 5 day 4 night all inclusive stay in Cancun, air fare not included. Cost of this package was offered at $499. Since I could not pay the full amount they offered me a payment plan. I made a downpayment of $140.00 and was told that I would receive an email of the contract to sign and return. Then they offered an additional $200 off the plan if I would pay the remaining balance of $193.93 immediatly. I explained that I could not due to recent expenses for damages caused by Hurricane Irma. They gave appropriate comments to my welfare and said to watch for the email.

Several hours had passed and the email did not come. I called the customer service number (1-877-144-5102) and spoke to a gentleman about the email. He said "oh" and then repeated my email and said he just sent it and I should receive it shortly. It came as a docusign email. I decided not to open it until I did a little research.

Checking on line I discovered that any calls made from an eleven digit phone number starting with 11- are related to scam companies or false discounted vacation/travel packages. I called my credit card service and the transaction was pending so it could not be blocked. They took down all the information I had written down during the conversation, closed the account so that no other withdrawls can be made by them and will be sending me a new credit card. Then I called the customer service number and asked to cancel the transaction - remember I did not sign a contract. Usually any transaction made can be cancelled within three days with full refund. The woman I spoke with wanted to send me the email again and I interrupted and said that I am am cancelling and would like a refund. She said that I would receive one within 7 to 10 business days. If the refund does not come the credit card company said to call them back and file a dispute and they would see if they could get the amount returned. Even though the account is closed a transaction to refund the money will process and the amount will be made to the new card number.

I understand that part of the discount deal when followed through has many additional fees that were not addressed during the phone call conversation and the trip is much more costly than origionally stated.  Satisfied that they can no longer take money from my account. Praying that I will get a full refund.
