Hi, I am trying to find out where I can get assistance/help as we had a house fire On Feb. 17th, 2021. We were dislocated from our home due to the extensiveness of the fire. We worked with Service Master to get belongings that could be salvageable out of the home, and  they put into storage. At that time we worked with a David and since we had no prior knowledge of how any of this worked he recommended Bailfish LLC as a contractor. Long story short Bailfish bailed on us, the timeline is long, excuses, stories (COVID--permits and so on). Allstate our Insurance Co. has dispersed funds for the restoration project of the home.

With everything said, the house was gutted in March of 2021, permits were pulled in December of 2021, a new roof was put on in May of 2022, nothing done in between. In July of 22 a new furnace  and water heater was installed, and things started moving till Oct. of 2022....New walls, drywall, basic electric ran, ductwork, trim work, kitchen cabinents installed (poorly). In Oct. Bailfish reached out for another installment and we contact our Ins. Company and Allstate released funds, which we had to send to our mortgage company and they did an inspection and they released more money in December of 2022. Check was picked on friday for over 55,000 and on Monday of January 2023 they requested another 36,000. (They had been paid over 109,000 at this time) We told them that the insurance company would not disperse anymore funds till the completion of the job (which was 143, 000). At this time Bailfish stated they would not do anymore work till more money was recieved. No work has been done since October of 2022.

We hired an attorney as we were still being assisted by Allstate and they stated no more money till job was completed. Allstate was paying our rent for our rental since we were not back in our home and this would be running our in March of 2023. The foreman we were working with at Bailfish no longer replied to our emails nor text messages or phone calls. Our Attorney reached out to Bailfish and their Attorney sent a reply that he was confused as he was under the impression that our home was nearly completed and his clients had only asked for 10,000.  Our Attorney stated the job was far from completed and requested a walk through with them as everything had been started but nothing was completed, the house was far from the family moving back into and no response has been recieved.

We have been trying to get something going and as we are spending out of our savings to get back intour home of 32 years. We are now paying rent and a house payment along with utilities for both homes. No materials were purchased to completed this job, we have depleted our savings to do things on our own and still we have black mold on the walls in the basement. Service Master stated they do not work with Bailfish at this time,  and are wanting to deliver our belongings that they have had in storage for over 2 years. We are out of money, resources. We need this taken care of and we want to go home. Can you help us, we dont have options. Help.
