Complaint Review: Baker Motor Company / Charleston SC

I bought a 2007 Lexus LS460 from John Glascow at the Baker Motor Company last year. I never actually saw the car before i bought it, so I took the word of the salesman that the car was in good shape. I paid for the car the end of one week by wire. By the time Tuesday came around I had a truck waiting to pick up the car. Here is where this gets good. The Company charges a $500.00 processing fee, which is outragious, but after I talked to the salesman he told me that they do a complete detailing of the car including buffing out the entire body. I was okay with this until my car showed up in Arkansas and had obviously not been detailed. I called the John and he said that they didnt have time to detail the car because I had it picked up too fast. He agreed to have me go get my car detailed and they would refund me whatever it cost. So I took my car and had it completly buffed out and detailed and then sent the receipt to John so I could get re-embursed. From here on out I was always told that the check was going in the mail that day or someone would call me right back. i havnt received any calls back and it has been months with no check in the mail. I called John a couple of weeks a go and told him that they had a week to get me a check or I will be taking action. he told me that they would take care of it right away. Well I called him yesterday and was told someone would call me back immediatly and still nothing. I know that I paid a lot for a nice car and I am only asking for $200.00 for the detailing, but at this point it is the principal of them keeping their word and doing the right thing. So I would recommend staying away from this company! If your going to spend this kind off money for one of the very expensive car brands that they carry, you might as well go somewhere else where they will treat you well even after they have your money.
