This will go down as the WORST MUSIC FESTIVAL for the SUMMER of 2012.  We arrived to the music festival with 45 minutes to spare befor the start of the performances.  Since we bought parking for $25, we had enough time to park and get to our seats.  Well it did not go as planned.  We waited 2 1/2 hours to get to the entrance of the parking location.  We missed the first two acts while waiting in line to get to the parking lot. Once we entered the Balboa park lot, we were directed to a DIRT FIELD.  I told the attendant we paid $25 to park in Parking Lot A - which is stated on our tickets.  The attendant's comment was "this is where they want you to park". I said, but we paid for parking.  Needless to say, we did not have a choice.  While walking to the entrance to the park to get check in, other patrons stated that they DID NOT PAY FOR PARKING AT ALL- they were allowed to park FOR FREE.  When we arrived to the ticket booth to get our wrist band, the unprofessional worker simply torn off the ticket handed us our stub and the wristband, without attempting to put the wrist band on our wrists.  When finally got to the area for seating, there was no one assisting, directing or anyone of authority to ask any questions, we simple walked in the gated area without anyone saying anything or noticing our presence.  The seats were not numbered.  I paid $171 dollars for Platium seats just to be told to sit anywhere.  The seating chart displayed on the Balboa Park Music Festival website was misleading and not a true representation of the actual seating arrangement   The seating chart displayed on the website was a replica of the seating chart for the Verizon Wireless Meadows - formerly Irvine Meadows, which is false advertisement. WE ARRIVED TO A DIRT PARKING LOT AND HAD TO SIT IN DIRT to watch the concert - for $171 dollars and Gladys Knight DID NOT perform. The patrons of this event should get together to file a class action law suit to disuade future events of this magnitude, as this event was full of deception, unprofessionalism and NO SECURITY.
