I have seen commercials for Ballstaedt Law Firm advertising to file my bankruptcy case for $693, so I decided to give them a call. I spoke to a woman named Laurie, she explained the details and process to me. What she told me was that Seth Ballstaedt will be my attorney, and that I can set up an appointment to see him, and that he is only there on Fridays. Laurie told me that the attorney fee was $693 and that the court fee is only $306. She also told me that if I could not pay everything up front, that I could put down part of the fee and that the firm will still file my case, and in the end the payment plan will cost me an extra $350. After I had called around, I found out that it is illegal to set up a payment plan and continuing to pay for it after my case is filed.

After speaking to them I decided to make sure I was getting involved with the right law firm. I had found out that Seth Ballstaedt is not licensed in AZ to practice, and that everyone else in the office was only licensed in Nevada, and have only been licensed a couple of years. They also have one person they are representing as an attorney, who is Aaron Heigi, is not licensed anywhere they claimed him to be. They only have one person licensed in AZ who is Victoria Quach, and she has only been licensed just short of a year.

I feel that this is an unethical law firm because they are misrepresenting themselves. They are willing to file my case without all fees paid, and in order to set up a plan they charge an extra $350. They are practicing andadvertising in AZ with only one person licensed, and they advertised that Seth Ballstaedt is in the top three in Nevada. According to what I have found, he is nowhere in the top three. I feel that they are extremely misleading, they are not being honest about their services and the people who render them. This lawyer violates the rule of collecting fees after the case is filed. This Nevada lawyer also used the bait and switch style advertising claiming substantial experience in AZ. He also is practising law in the state of AZ without a license. The AZ licensed lawyer in the firm, Victoria Quach is aiding in the unauthorized practice of law. Is Arizona becomimg a dumping ground for out of state lawyers to operate? I work in the legal profession and I choose to remain anonymous to avoid problems with these people
