Bally Fitness Charged $500 after cancelling. Charged $618 seven years later. Stoneham MA
Some time in 2006 I went to Bally Fitness near Stoneham, MA. I then moved out of the country, and before doing so I went to the gym to cancel my membership. I was thrilled at how easy the cancellation process was!
When I returned the the US many months later I found that I had a $500 bill from Bally's that my mother paid because she was worried. They never cancelled my membership! I was irate then, and more irate now.
7-8 years later, just two weeks ago, I received a letter from a debt collector stating that I owe Bally Fitness $619.52! Now I am really angered. I need this erroneous charge removed from my credit history, and I want the original $500 back that Bally's stole from me.
Highly unethical business practices illustrated by Bally's. Really despicable and unfortunate.
