I orignally signed up at Ballys but am now on unemployment and cant afford to continue to pay so I went in to cancel and they told me that the only way was by letter which i find ridiculous seeing I didnt send a letter to join. In the mean time I wait for them to receive my letter at a P.O. box and get around to reading it, while they will continue to bill me! Somehow this has to be illegal! Al they have to say is they never received my letter and keep billing. Another thing I called to make sure that I did what they required and they said I have to explain why I'm quitting. WATCH OUT FOR BALLYS

This is fairly common practice for many different types of memberships and was clearly stated in the contract you signed. If you would have had a little foresight you could have avoided the issue.
