I was a Bally's member for probably 15 years, and it was nothing but a headache, but if I don't exercise, I'm in trouble. This time, when it came up for renewal, I said that's enough. I refused to renew. And as if they had to get in one last good screwing, they sent me about 10 offers to renew, which I tore up. Then they sent me a collection letter telling me I was turned in for not renewing my membership and I owed them like $285.00 from the date of expiration to the present, and I suppose it's on my credit report.

So, just as soon as I get to it, I'll have to sue them in court and collect the $10,000 fee you can get for fraudulent reporting. It's just such a run-around to have to go sue, getting the service address, putting the case together, getting all the evidence, writing them a letter. We should be a class by now. I'll pay my percentage.

These guys are a total rip. My son worked for them for 2 years, and he told me everything. They never ever stand behind their contracts, and the front desk employees are told to hand complaining members a 1-800 phone number. The other employees break into your lockers or the lockers have false sides, and they just plain steal. He was told not to report it to the police. It's a total rip off thug health club that I hear is planning to sell the whole chain. Time to sue. My son also volunteered that the club managers are ripping off the clubs and have to be replaced on a regular basis. They sell dummy memberships to get the commissions, let their friends in for free, and steal off credit cards. Where's a good law firm?

Sir did you ever have more than one account open? You might not know it but call the 866 number and find out how many accounts come up under your name. When you are OUT OF TERM and up for Renewal BTF does not report to the credit bureaus. Did you ever try contacting BTF about doing an Internal Credit dispute so they can look into it?
